We Don’t Have Time invites you to a day when we go from talk the talk to walk the walk. On 22 April we welcome you to our ´No-Fly´ Climate Conference 2019 and the exciting launch of our Social Network. This event marks the launch of a movement for a safe future, and we are actively involving everyone working to remedy the climate crisis.

During our Earth Day event, climate advocates will pitch their social media campaigns for the climate and the environment. We will discuss the art of effectively communicating the climate crisis, the leading role of the climate youth movement, and the connection between individual lifestyle choices and major systemic change. Our aim is to show how important it is that everyone – young people, old people, parents, businesses, institutions, elected officials – is needed. Together we are the solution and without collaboration, we will fail.

Note: This is an invitation for people who want to attend physically.

This is a personal invitation to attend our We Don't Have Time 2019 Climate Conference in Stockholm, Sweden. You are invited to attend our conference on site from Norrsken House, in Stockholm on Monday 22 April 2019 at 2:00-6:30 PM Central European Summer Time.

You can watch the conference live, mingle with like-minded guests, speakers and have the opportunity to get to know the people behind innovations and movements. We will serve all guests climate-friendly food and beverage. 

Please note:  Do not use aircraft as transportation to this event.  If you can't get here by train or other means of climate-friendly transportation please participate instead by joining us online. There is no entry fee but the number of seats is limited.

Frida is one of the spokespersons for Swedish parent-led climate organization Föräldravrålet (Parent's Roar), which mobilizes over 26,000 parents for climate action. She is also the founder of international parent coalition Our Kids’ Climate and has received Climate Reality Leadership training from Al Gore. She currently works at PR agency Westander, where she specializes in delivering effective climate communication.

Gbujie Daniel major interest is the protection environment and promotion of sustainable development goals among developing nations in Africa.  He works temporarily with in a Teaching Hospital in Rivers State, Nigeria for over six years as a medical officer.  An advocate for youth empowerment through education, an environmental activist and an advocate of better health care delivery in Nigeria and West Africa. He has published articles, editorial and made numerous international presentations on sustainable development goals especially on health and leadership challenges. He serves on several local and national boards in Nigeria, an associate member of the World Medical Association, the Chief Volunteer Coordinator of Sure Health Organization an NGO and an official with Junior Doctors of Africa, currently an Atlas Corp Fellow for 2017 and was a delegate to the last UN climate change convention in Marrakesh Morocco.

Creator of the Doughnut of social and planetary boundaries

Kate Raworth (“Ray-worth”) is a renegade economist focused on exploring the economic mindset needed to address the 21st century’s social and ecological challenges, and is the creator of the Doughnut of social and planetary boundaries.She is a Senior Visiting Research Associate at Oxford University’s Environmental Change Institute, where she teaches on the Masters in Environmental Change and Management. She is also a Senior Associate at the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.

Her internationally acclaimed idea of Doughnut Economics has been widely influential amongst sustainable development thinkers, progressive businesses and political activists, and she has presented it to audiences ranging from the UN General Assembly to the Occupy movement. Her book, Doughnut Economics: seven ways to think like a 21st century economist was published in 2017 and has been translated into 15 languages.

Katharine Hayhoe is a atmospheric scientist, a professor in the Department of Political Science and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, part of the Department of Interior’s South-Central Climate Science Center. Her research currently focuses on establishing a scientific basis for assessing the regional to local-scale impacts of climate change on human systems and the natural environment. She analyzes observations, compare future scenarios, evaluate global and regional climate models, build and assess statistical downscaling models, and constantly strive to develop better ways of translating climate projections into information relevant to agriculture, ecosystems, energy, infrastructure, public health, and water resources.

Jamie Margolin is a 17-year-old writer, activist, organizer, rebel and high schooler. Frustrated by the inaction of elected officials and the fact that youth voices were almost always ignored in the conversation around climate change and the profound impact that it would have on young people, Jamie started gathering several of her friends in the summer of 2017 to start organizing something big, something hard to ignore!

Jamie realized that a national day of mass action, led by youth, would be an ideal platform to ensure that young voices were not only centered in this conversation, but that elected officials and adults would hear their voices loud and clear!By the end of the summer, young activists from across the country, from diverse backgrounds, had joined the team and the Zero Hour movement had started taking shape.
